(not available in Lite version)
This operation provides you with an ability to restrict access to your images encrypting it with a password. When encrypted, such images will not be more available to view with any image view application except the Zoomer, and only after entering correct password.
To start this operations, select an item Set password from the File list pop up menu.

In the following dialog, enter your password twice and also provide so called "prompt" which will be shown while answering for a password (it should help you to remember which password you used for these images). Then press OK and all the images in a file list (except already protected with other passwords) will be encrypted.

For encrypting, one of the most safe and non-breaking algorithms is used, AES. So, if you have entered long enough password (6 characters are very enough), brute force attack will be useless to crack it. (May be quantum computer will help, I do not know: but your data should be very valuable to pay enough for such cracking even in future days).
Please note, that I have no way to restore your files if you forget your password. Moreover, if you were not familiar with encrypting before, you should know, that your password is not stored in the encrypted files, so there are no way at all to get know which password was used. It is only you who can help to you to remember it! At least use prompts provided for you to make such remembering more easy.
When you open a directory containing encrypted files, it's thumbnails look like below. And when you select such image, you are prompted to enter a password.

If you entered correct password, all images having the same prompt and password are loaded and thumbnails for it show smaller size images as usual.
If you are opening another directory having encrypted files with the prompt and password you were entered before you can re-enter the same password pressing <CTRL>+<Enter>. But if the Zoomer was closed you should enter password typing it with the keyboard the next time.
When you typed password correctly, the operation Remove passwords become available in the File list pop up menu. Use it to decrypt your files (restoring it in the folder to a state they have before encrypting). After decrypting it, these images become available again for viewing it with other image handling applications.
Other notes on password protecting.
